Sanjaya Malakar, the Indian origin singer who was a contestant on the sixth season of 'American Idol', was photographed performing at a New York subway station recently.
The photo showed the 23-year-old singer, alongwith a few other musicians, singing inside the First Avenue L station, reported In Touch Weekly.
‘He was singing '(Sittin' on) the Dock of the Bay',’ an eyewitness said.
While his crazy hairstyles and vocal skills got him the attention on the show, today he's still got folks doing ‘double takes’, the eyewitness added. ‘The guy's still a decent singer!’ they said.
