Indian-origin filmmaker Anant Singh will endow the sets created for the film based on Nelson Mandela’s autobiography, Long Walk To Freedom to the Nelson Mandela Centre of Memory. Singh announced this as the contribution from his Compnay VideoVision for Mandela Day, celebrated across the world on his birthday.
The sets from the film will be housed in the Nelson Mandela Museum in Qunu, Mandela’s birthplace, where he is now in retirement. The realistic sets that have recreated historic sites associated with Mandela will allow visitors to the museum the opportunity to be transported through time and experience places that have great significance in Mandela’s history. Among these sets is the Courtroom of the Palace Of Justice, where Mandela made his famous speech in which he announced that he was willing to die for his principles of equality for all.
