India Post is celebrating National Postal week wherein various activities are being held. The event which began on October 9 will be on till October 15.
Mail Day was observed at Automated Mail Processing Centre (AMPC) in the national Capital on October 12 wherein a customer meet was held along with the visit of school students to the AMPC campus.
An interactive session was organised in which the customers actively participated in the session.
The queries raised by the customers mainly pertained to the common problems they encounter during their day to day <g data-gr-id="36">co-ordination</g> with <g data-gr-id="35">department</g> of posts for taking their business forward.
The customers even offered suggestions to improve service in the operations. E-Commerce companies including Snapdeal, PayTM, ShopClues, D2H among others were represented in the meet.
The meet was also attended by Bulk Mailers/Printers.
The meet was addressed by the member of the postal services board, who shared the vision of India Post in the context of growing demand of e-commerce business in the country and the role of the department in meeting the expectations of the e-Commerce. The children were educated about the mail operations through the machines. More than 500 students of five reputed schools visited AMPC.
A Painting competition with <g data-gr-id="62">theme</g>, “<g data-gr-id="24">Swachcha</g> Bharat” was also organised at the AMPC in which 68 children participated.
