IMD forecasts more rains in South

Heavy rain continued to lash parts of South India with the regional weather office here forecasting more rain for November 2.

Heavy rains have been observed at isolated places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu in the last 24 hours starting 8.30 AM yesterday, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said in a bulletin. Rain or thundershowers would occur at many places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Lakshadweep, coastal and south interior Karnataka and at a few places over Andhra Pradesh, the Regional Meteorological Centre said. 

Isolated rain or thundershowers may occur over north interior Karnataka and Telangana, it added.

Meanwhile, bright sunny skies in morning gave way to heavy rains by afternoon even as rains lashed many parts of Tamil Nadu.
