IITs to adopt 10 villages

All the IITs will adopt 10 villages each and help the government to develop a model for their development as a part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, an official said on Friday. ‘The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi held workshops few months back for Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, meant for developing rural India. According to the initiative, each IIT will get 10 villages to take care of. They will gauge the problems of villages and find solutions,’ said IIT-Delhi director RK Shevgaonkar at a press meet.
