IIT-Delhi to set science park on campus

India Institute of Technology-Delhi (IIT-D) has decided to set up a mini science park on the campus.
IIT-Delhi director RK Shevgaonkar during the media interaction said, ‘To make science and technology more popular among students , we have decided to set up a mini park on the institute’s campus. We have proposed to house inter alia, technology business incubator, accelerator facilities, design innovation centre, technology transfer office and specialist development programme centres. In this great initiative Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT) is coordinating with us.’
‘Apart from this, recently Haryana government has allotted 50 acre land in Sonepat and Jhajjar each. In Sonepat we have proposed to establish an engineering related science park and high performance computing facility. In Jhajjar, we have proposed to establish a science park related to biological research activities,’ Shevgaonkar added.
