Idea rings in 60% quarterly net rise

Telecom operator Idea Cellular on Tuesday reported a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 941.77 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015. The company had posted a profit after tax of Rs 589.77 crore in the same period a year ago.

Total revenue of the company in the reported quarter stood at Rs 8,422.51 crore as against Rs 7,043.82 crore in the corresponding period a year ago. Idea said the results for this quarter and financial year 2014-15 are not 

comparable to earlier quarters and financial years due to the changes in the network interconnection rule issued by TRAI Interconnect with effect from March 1, 2015.
