IBM to spend $3 bn on Internet of Things unit

Technology giant IBM on Tuesday said it will invest $3 billion (about Rs 18,770 crore) over the next four years to establish a new Internet of Things (IoT) unit to help its enterprise customers make better business decisions.
IoT helps in harnessing relevant information from massive amounts of data collected by smartphones, tablets, connected vehicles and appliances. This insight helps companies manage their businesses in a better and efficient manner.
