Delhi police has solved the disappearance-turned murder mystery in which the victim went missing on 21 July, 2012. The deceased has been identified as Abhilasha from Vikash nagar, Delhi. Her dead body and the motor cycle used to dispose it have been recovered.
'Farhan alias Sameer, 24, the victim’s husband has been found to be the murderer ' said V Renganathan, Additional Commissioner of Police.
On 21 July, 2012, Farhan had registered a missing complaint saying that his wife had been missing for the last three days. A month later, Santosh devi, the victim’s mother had filed a complaint in which she had expressed suspicion that Farhan was involved in the disappearance of her daughter. Even after repeated requests, Farhan was reluctant to attend the inquiry and had applied for anticipatory bail, though the plea was rejected by the court.
'Later he joined the inquiry but responses were found to be unsatisfactory' added Renganathan.
On further questioning Farhan confessed that he had conspired to murder his wife.
