HUDCO gives Rs 15 lakh to Himachal

Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh was presented a cheque of Rs 15 lakh by regional chief, Housing & Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO) Chandigarh, VK Joshi towards Chief Minister Relief Fund for mitigating the sufferings of the people of flood and rain-ravaged areas of the state. Joshi said that HUDCO had decided to allocate another grant of Rs 50 lakh under HUDCO's corporate social responsibility for supporting disaster rehabilitation projects in the state in consultation with the state government.
He said that HUDCO had also been working for development of housing and infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh for the last 40 years and had provided financial assistance to various public agencies for undertaking major housing and infrastructure projects. Senior manager HUDCO development officer Shimla Surjeet Mohan was also present on the occasion. The chief minister thanked HUDCO for their contribution and said that it would go a long way in providing relief to the poor and needy.
