Hud Hud to hit AP, Orissa

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert over cyclone Hud Hud, which is expected to hit north coastal of Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha on 12 October.
In a statement issued by the IMD, Hud Hud is expected to cross the coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur by Sunday noon with a speed of 130 to 155 kilometer per hour. It is expected that in the next 24 hours the cyclone will intensify further which will led to severe cyclonic storm. ‘We are having a close watch on Hud Hud’ an IMD official said.
Director General, IMD, L S Rathore said the storm at present lay centred about 1100 kilometers southwest of Gopalpur and 1150 kilometers east-southeast of Visakhapatnam.
