HSIIDC offers 37 acres for logistics park in Barhi

The Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) has offered 37 acres of land to Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) for setting up a rail-linked multi-modal logistics park at industrial estate in Barhi, a move that will enhance the infrastructure of the state. It will cost about Rs 350 crore and provide employment 

“The park will be used for ICD, dry port, domestic container terminal and rail freight terminal with a warehousing complex,” an official said.

Haryana industries minister informed that about Rs 350 crore approx will be invested on setting up of the project in Sonipat–Gannaur–Panipat area falling on Delhi–Ambala–Kalka section of Northern railway.

“The project will facilitate reduction in logistics costs of the industry of the area and provide the exim trade faster and cheaper access to the north western and western gateway ports,” an official said. When implemented, this project would provide direct and indirect employment to about 5,000 persons and generate revenue for the state exchequer, the minister said.
