Hot and humid days ahead for Delhiites

It was a hot and humid day in the national capital on Monday with the mercury soaring three notches above the season’s average.
According to the MeT department officials, maximum temperature was recorded at 37.2 degrees Celsius while the minimum registered 24.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal. They further informed that humidity in the air oscillated between 35 and 84 per cent.
However, the weather may cool down due to possible drop in temperature in the coming days, the
officials said. ‘It will be a mainly clear sky in the morning tomorrow which will turn cloudy noon onwards. Thundery conditions may occur evening onwards,’ said the MeT forecast.
‘The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 37 and 25 degrees Celsius, respectively,’ said the weatherman.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature had settled at 37.7 degrees Celsius, four notches above the normal level while the minimum was recorded at 24.2 degrees Celsius, two notches
above normal.
