Hooda lauds Arya Samaj’s contribution to society

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said that Swami Dayanand was a pioneer of social consciousness. He created social awakening and devoted his life for the cause of humanity. He was a revolutionary social reformer and tried to eradicate social evils prevailing at that time. These views were expressed by Hooda at the International Arya Mahasammelan in New Delhi. Friday was the second day of the sammelan. Thousands of representatives from different parts of the country and abroad were present. Delhi Assembly Speaker Yoga Nand Shastri, MP Dr. Ram Prakash, Acharya Baldev, Mahashay Dhram Pal, Prakash Arya, Vinay Arya, Dr. Dharmvir were also present. Hooda said that Arya Samaj played very important role in generating patriotism in people. About 80 per cent of leaders, who participated in the freedom movement were inspired by the ideals of Arya Samaj. Hooda said, ‘I am fortunate that I was born in an Arya Samaji family. My govt is implementing a number of schemes for the welfare of different sections of the society, as per the ideals of Swami Dayanand.’
