Hooda govt mulls kanyadan plan

Haryana Government has decided to implement a new scheme known as 'Kanyadan' under which an incentive of Rs 11,000 per girl will be handed over to each of the beneficiary  brides during the mass marriage ceremony to be organised by Red Cross Societies or any registered Non Government Organisation (NGO) in the State. The scheme will be implemented with effect from 1 April,2013.
