Hooda for more facilities to scribes

Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday stressed upon the need for providing more facilities to media persons saying it will boost the confidence of people involved in the challenging profession. Commercialisation of journalism was not in the interest of the society, Hooda said in a function here. On the occasion, the chief minister handed over a cheque of Rs 10.50 lakh on behalf of Haryana Patarkar Sangh to the two sons of senior journalist Liladhar Shastri, who was killed in an accident in 1998. Hooda announced a financial aid of Rs 3 lakh to Shastri’s family.
