Honest people must join hands: Kejriwal

The popular leader said that he does not have a magic wand to solve all the problems but nothing is impossible if honest people join hands.

The chief minister-designate asked honest officials and employees of Delhi government to contact him through SMSes or email so that they can be deployed in places where they can work to solve Delhi’s problems.

‘I have a team to process these names and will pick the best to run Delhi. We would give such officers good position in our government and take their help while making strategies,’ Kejriwal said on Thursday morning.

Kejriwal also discussed the issue of water distribution in Delhi. ‘Making it free will happen immediately, perhaps within 24 hours. But water does not reach many areas. Every area has its own peculiar water woe. We will have to see how we can source water to each colony and how much time it will take.’

When asked about the invitation to Anna Hazare for the oath ceremony, the AAP leader said that said he would personally talk to him over the phone and invite him.

45-year-old Kejriwal, who will be administered oath of office along with six AAP MLAs, at the historic Ramlila Maidan here said there will be no VIPs at the ceremony and ‘everyone is invited’.

‘It is open for all. No VIP is there. All ‘aam admi’ will be present. You are all invited,’ he told reporters.
Portfolios of the new ministers will be announced in the next two days, he said.
