Hoax bomb call at cinema hall, ex-Rly official detained

After verification, the police found that the call was a hoax. Sources said that the call was traced to Paharganj and the man was identified as RK Das. He was reportedly in an inebriated condition when he made the PCR call at around 1:15 pm. 

Meanwhile, senior police officers of the New Delhi district confirmed that a man has been detained. He was drunk when he made the call.

“The man is being questioned as of now. Further investigation is on,” said the official.However, no FIR has been registered in the matter yet, added sources.

According to the police, following the bomb call, scores of police teams, fire tenders and bomb disposal squads were rushed to the Odeon complex, and the premises were evacuated.
