Hindu Vahini leader killed, curfew in Tanda

An indefinite curfew was clamped in Tanda area of Ambedkarnagar district on Monday after a series of communal violence rocked this area following murder of Hindu Yuva Vahini district president Rambabu Gupta last night.
Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Raj Kumar Vishwakarma said here that preventive curfew has been imposed in Tanda area of Ambedkarnagar following reports of violence and clashes in which irate mob set ablaze number of shops and state-run buses.
Superintendent of Police(SP) of Ambedkarnagar D P Srivastava said curfew has been clamped in both the Tanda and Aliganj police stations of the Tanda area.
He said last night too an irate mob went berserk and torched several vehicles, including a police jeep.
