Hindu Sena workers protest at Aamir’s house, security tightened

Hindu Sena activists on Tuesday staged a protest outside actor Aamir Khan’s residence in Bandra against his remarks on intolerance even as security for the actor was beefed up.

At least seven activists of the Hindu Sena gathered outside Khan’s residence at Pali Hill around 4 pm and tried to stage a protest, DCP (Detection) Dhananjay Kulkarni said. One of them was heard saying Khan should take back his statements and apologise as India is a tolerant country.

Five activists were detained by the Khar police, Kulkarni said, adding that a probe is on against those detained and appropriate action would be taken.

“We have provided adequate police security to the actor,” he said.
