Heavy rains lash Himachal, over 200 interior roads blocked

Heavy rains lashed parts of Himachal Pradesh including Kangra, Sirmaur, Mandi and Shimla districts, triggering landslides due to which over 200 roads were blocked.
Normal life was affected as monsoons further intensified in the state. The heavy rains triggered landslides in the interiors, blocking the link roads but all major national and state highways are open.
About 250 roads are blocked in interior areas of Kangra, Shimla, Mandi?and Kullu.
Dharamshala witnessed heavy downpour and recorded 245 mm rains while the adjoining town of Palampur received 141 mm rains, followed by Nahan 106 mm, Kheri 91 mm, Gohar 75 mm, Jogindernagar 74 mm, Gaggal 66 mm, Kotkhai 64 mm, Jubbal 58 mm, Mandi 49 mm, Pandoh 47 mm and Baijnath 44 mm.
Bijahi, Mashobra and Paonta had 40 mm, 38 mm and 36 mm of rains followed by Kumarsain 35 mm,Sirmaur 34 mm,Khadrala 31mm, Renuka 30 mm, Bajaura 26 mm, Bhuntar 25 mm, Nurpur 24 mm, Kullu 22 mm, <g data-gr-id="21">Sarahan</g> 20 mm, Shimla 19 mm, Jubbarhatti 16 mm, <g data-gr-id="22">Bangana</g> and Dalhousie 14 mm and Baldwara and? Rohru 12 mm.
Una was hottest in the region with a maximum of 34.6 degree while Sundernagar and Solan recorded a high of 29.4 degree and 29.0 degree, followed by Dharamshala 27.8 degree, Nahan and Bhunter 27.0 degree, Shimla 23.0 degree and Kalpa 22.8degree and Manali 21.6 degree.
