According to the weatherman, the temperature will increase gradually to bring in the first spell of scorching heat for this season from Thursday onwards.
'Heat-wave conditions in Delhi NCR will be the result of the absence of any western disturbance leading to mainly clear skies and hot north-westerly winds,' said a senior official at the Regional MeT Centre at Delhi. The western disturbance which came through north-Pakistan induced upper air cyclonic circulation over central Pakistan and adjoining west Rajasthan,' he added. The thunderstorm caused rain in some parts of Delhi, but it was too little to be recorded. 'The city received 'traces' of rain on Sunday,' he added.
