Hearing in Jiah Khan case on June 10

The special women’s court here on Friday adjourned the hearing in actress Jiah Khan suicide case till June 10 in response to her mother Rabiya Khan’s plea.

Rabiya Khan had sought the adjournment, saying that her petition demanding a probe by a special investigation team was pending before the Bombay high court, which was likely to hear it on June 7.

Her petition in the High Court says she is not satisfied with the CBI probe. Judge AS Shende of the trial court has adjourned the case to June 10.

On May 5, the prosecutor had told the court that actor Sooraj Pancholi, the accused in the case, should be charged with murder and rape. The CBI has charged him with abetting Jiah’s suicide.
