A headless body of a male in his early twenties was found stuffed in a bag in north-east Delhi’s
Jaffarabad area on Thursday morning. His identity is yet to be established.
At around 7 am, a passer-by made a call to the police control room informing that an unclaimed plastic bag was lying at the roadside in Arvind Mohalla area of Jaffarabad. A team rushed to the spot and opened the bag and discovered a headless body stuffed inside it.
When the locals were questioned about the bag, they told the police that since morning the bag was lying at the roadside and a foul smell was emanating from it. In the preliminarily investigation it appeared that he was killed with a blunt object.
‘To hide the identity of the deceased, the accused has beheaded the body and then stuffed the remaining portions into the plastic bag.
‘All the police stations have been informed about the discovery of the headless body so that his identity may be established with the help of missing reports filed at the respective police stations,’ said a police official.
A case of murder has been registered against the unknown accused and probe is on to establish the identity and nab the culprit.
