HC seeks govt reply over cancellation of liquor shop license

The Delhi High Court has sought the city government’s response on a plea seeking cancellation of licence issued to a liquor shop in Krishna Nagar here on the ground that a school and temple are located near it.

The petition filed through advocate CS Rathour has sought the court’s direction for cancelling the licence of the liquor shop in the east Delhi locality.  It said local residents of Krishna Nagar are strongly opposing and protesting against the opening of the liquor shop.
