HC notice to j&k govt on spurious drugs

Jammu and Kashmir HC on Tuesday issued notice to the state government and former health minister Sham Lal Sharma on a PIL filed by a doctors’ body seeking probe into the supply of alleged spurious drugs to government hospitals in the valley. A division bench of Justices Mansoor Ahmad Mir and Ali Mohammad Magray issued notice and also directed inspector general of police to submit a status report on the investigations conducted into the supply of alleged spurious drugs to government hospitals. Court listed the case for hearing tomorrow. Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK) had filed a PIL in HC seeking an independent probe into alleged fake drug scandal.
