HC gets acting Chief Justice after Murugesan retires

Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed, senior-most judge of the Delhi High Court, was on Monday appointed as the acting Chief Justice of the court.
On 8 June, Justice D Murugesan retired as the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court.
‘An exercise of the powers conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President has appointed Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court with effect from today (10 June, 2013),’ an official release said.
