The Rajasthan HC on Tuesday asked the state government to ensure that Gujjar agitation, demanding reservation, does not turn violent in future and no rail or road blockades take place as has happened in the past.
Justice RS Rathore also observed that the police and state administration will ensure that no loss to public property takes place. It has also been directed by the court that it shall be the liability of the DM (Collector) and the area SP to reimburse the loss of property and any damages assessed due to Gujjar agitation in future. The Bench directed the Chief Secretary to send a copy of the judgment to all Collectors and area SPs.
