Hazare has a new address, and it is not IAC@Kejriwal

The division between the anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare and his one-time team member Arvind Kejriwal seems to be final, with Hazare blogging a new post on Sunday, asking his supporters to contact him at his village Ralegan Siddhi to join anti-corruption movement. The latest blog comes after Kejriwal met him last week to make attempts to patch-up with the crusader.

Sources say that Hazare conveyed to Kejriwal that direct politics would not deliver a better future for people. His close aides reiterated on Sunday that neither would Hazare join politics nor would he support any political party. Rather, he would try to provide an alternative to people, sources said.

So far, the Hazare-led agitation was being handled by the India Against Corruption from Ghaziabad, which is controlled by Kejriwal. But now Hazare has given and publicised a new address  – Bhrashtachar Virodhi Janandolan, Ralegan Siddhi – for people willing to join his agitation.

Sources said that despite parting ways with Kejriwal, Hazare was in constant touch with other members of his former team and meeting volunteers from Indian Against Corruption separately at his village. 'It is almost certain now that Anna Hazare is parting ways with Arvind Kejriwal, and its formal declaration will come after the meetings with volunteers,' said a prominent member of the now-disbanded Team Anna who had just met Hazare in Ralegan Siddhi.

Hazare is scheduled to have one last formal meeting with all his team members – including both pro- and anti- political party factions – on 19 September in Delhi on the issue of giving political option, and after this meeting, the members will be free to choose their path, the sources added.
