Metro lines of 25-km-length are under construction including 13.875 kms in Faridabad, 4.875 kms in Bahadurgarh and 6.5 km in Gurgaon. On metro link between Faridabad and Gurgaon, the state government has pointed out that there is a proposal to link Qutub Minar and Badarpur stations by 2021 in Phase IV of Delhi Metro.

Haryana has requested Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu to get the link between Qutub Minar and Badarpur station completed by 2018. Since the line between Qutub Minar and Badarpur stations will pass through Delhi area, the state has requested that a spur may be planned along this line, which may pass through the inhabited areas of northern Faridabad in Haryana, starting from Surajkund, and connect to an appropriate Metro station located on Delhi-Faridabad route.
