Gym trainer shot at by unknown bike-borne assailants

A gym trainer was shot at by unknown bike-borne assailants at South-east Delhi’s Amar Colony on Monday night. He has been admitted to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment. The cops have registered a case and have taken the victim’s statement.

When Ravi Thapa came out of the gymnasium, he never thought that he was being followed by bikers who were keeping a watch on his movements with malicious intentions.

The firing incident took place at around 10.30 pm on Monday night when Ravi Thapa was returning home from the gymnasium after buying a cake for his daughter’s birthday .

Eyewitnesses have told police that two bikers attacked him and shot him twice before fleeing the spot. Hearing the gunshots, people gathered at the crime spot and saw Thapa injured. They informed the police after which he was rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre. 

The senior police officers visited the spot. The cops are now scanning the CCTV footage to get some clue of the assailants. The cops suspect that this might be a case of personal rivalry. Police have formed several teams to nab the assailants involed in the incident.
