Grandson of Lala Amarnath to play in Irish League

Continuing to make rapid strides in his cricketing career, Digvijay, son of former batsman Surinder Amarnath and grandson of the Legendary Lala Amarnath, would now be playing in the upcoming Irish League to be held from April 27. The batsman, who has been training at the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai, has signed up with Brigade CC of Northern Ireland. Last year, Digvijay played first class cricket in Sri Lanka. laying four games, Amarnath scored close to 140 runs with a highest of 62 in his maiden first-class season which also happened to be his maiden overseas tour.
