Gr Noida to host Petrotech in January 2014

The first Steering Committee meeting of Petrotech 2014 decided that the 11th edition of India's international oil & gas exhibition and conference would be held at the Greater Noida Expo Centre from January 12 to 15, 2014.
The meeting, held in New Delhi, was attended by Petroleum & Natural Gas Secretary G C Chaturvedi and ONGC Chairman & Managing Director Sudhir Vasudeva, who is also chairman of the Petrotech 2014 Steering Committee. Choosing January 2014 as the scheduled month for this global extravaganza also means that Petrotech comes back to its original month. The first eight Petrotech conferences were held in the same month.
It was only in the event's ninth and tenth editions that that it was scheduled in the months of October-November. Going forward, what the change implies is the start of a trend that places Petrotech as the inaugural event of the international oil & gas calendar.
Chaturvedi pointed out that it is crucial to have a fixed date for the event 'as that would enable oil & gas leaders and the leading oil technocrats of the world to schedule their diaries accordingly and ensure robust attendance from influential players of the sector'.
Another important event of the day's proceedings was the launch of the Petrotech 2014 homepage by petroleum & natural gas secretary.
