Govt wants uniform development for Delhi, says Sheila

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Tuesday claimed that her government is committed to ensuring uniform development in all parts of the city for which work is on as per a planned schedule.
As per the schedule Trans-Yamuna has been witnessing an all-round development.
Dikshit on Tuesday formally inaugurated a fire station and dedicated a newly constructed community center at Vishwas Nagar.
Local MP Sandeep Dikshit, Trans-Yamuna Area Development Board ( TYADB) chairman Narendra Nath and local MLA Naseeb Singh were also present.
Dikshit claimed that her government has been working in the direction of providing fire security cover to entire Delhi.
 As of now, 54 fire stations have been commissioned and the 55th is being formally inaugurated.
The government is in process of accelerating the construction of new fire stations and providing advanced fire-fighting appliances in the stations. The city would have a total of 70 fire stations by 2017, she said.
She also inaugurated a community centre, that was constructed by the EDMC for which TYADB had released an amount of Rs 3.32 crore.
OBC BACKBONE OF INDIA: DIKSHIT
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday said that ‘it is difficult to neglect 52% OBC population in the country as the government at the state level and Centre have been trying to ensure opportunities to move ahead to one and all’.
Dikshit on Tuesday addressed a mammoth convention at ‘Talkatora Stadium’ and described ‘OBC as the backbone of the country’. She further stated that the contribution of the OBC community has been substantial in whatever is being accomplished in Delhi.
