Govt to set up free dialysis centres at six hospitals

Every month, almost two lakh patients suffering from renal failure in the capital require dialysis.But the city has only 27 dialysis machines, primarily at private hospitals. The cabinet, on Monday, gave its approval for setting up of dialysis centers in six majorĀ  Delhi government hospitals and to install 120 dialysis machines, to provide free dialysis.

Thirty machines would be installed at Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital, Tahirpur, 20 machines at Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan, 25 each at Janakpuri Super Speciality Hospital and Bhagwan Mahaveer Hospital, Pitampura and 10 each at Lok Nayak Hospital and Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital, Malviya Nagar.
