Govt to ply one e-bus on pilot basis

An electric bus will ply on the streets of Delhi on Thursday for the first time on a pilot basis as part of the government’s plan to introduce them in the national capital as an eco-friendly transport service. Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai will flag off first electric bus, a move which is aimed at bringing down the pollution. A senior government official said it is for the first time an e-bus will ferry passengers, adding, the transport minister will also unveil the complete plan with regard to it in the next couple of days.
