Govt to fast track Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System

Government has deiced to fast track Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) in the wake of recent Paris terror attack.
A decision in this regard was taken in the Cabinet meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday. Briefing reporters after the meeting, Minister of State in Prime Minister’s Office Dr. Jitendra Singh said the system would be in place by March 2017.
All the police system and prosecution agencies will be connected with the computerized system.
Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems aims at facilitating interaction and sharing of information among police stations, districts, state headquarters and other police agencies.
In an another decision, the Cabinet also approved hiking the monetary relief to migrants from hilly areas of Jammu at par with Kashmiri Pandits.
Now, they will get monetary assistance of 2500 rupees. State government jobs and transit accommodations in Kashmir Valley for rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants was also approved.
