BJP MP and former union minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain has said the municipal schools should upgrade themselves to attract the middle class. He was speaking on the conclusion of Science Fair organised by South Delhi Municipal Corporation.
‘The standard of municipal schools have improved a lot but there is need to upgrade it with modern facilities to attract middle class in the city,’ said Hussain. In the three-day Science Fair, over 75 models were displayed by students of which 52 were of science and rest were from humanities.
‘The purpose of the science fair is a platform for students to show their talent and also to create their interest in the subject by participation,’ said Satish Upadhayay, chairman of standing committee with South DMC. ‘Several competitions like model and poetry recitation were also organised in the fair in which students participated enthusiastically,’ added Upadhayay.
