Amidst the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination row, the BJP government on Wednesday has taken a firm stand that UPSC prelims examination will be conducted on 24 August as scheduled and an all party meeting will be convened to discuss the issue. Displaying their angst over the government decision, aspirants have continued with their protest.
‘The government took a step after a lot of consideration and thought. This problem was started by the Congress and the UPA. Now, the NDA and the BJP have come up with a proper solution for that,’ said BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. On Monday, the government announced that the marks for English comprehension will not be counted in the final merit list. While the debate rages on, the protest by aspirants continued on Wednesday with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Rajesh Ranjan, more commonly known as Pappu Yadav, joining the agitation.
