Govt pays tribute to Hardinge bomb case martyrs

CM Arvind Kejriwal paid floral tributes at the memorial of the martyrs– Master Amir Chand, Bhai Bal Mukund, Master Avadh Bihari and Basant Kumar Biswas –housed in the Maulana Azad Medical College premises here.

Vijender Gupta, AAP MLA Rajinder Gautam, Chief Secretary KK Sharma and MAMC dean DK Tempe also paid tributes to the martyrs. Kejriwal met the great-grandsons of Amir Chand and recalled his supreme sacrifice.

Amir Chand, Bhai Bal Mukund and Avadh Bihari were executed on May 8, 1915, while Biswas met the same fate a day later for hurling a bomb at a procession of then Governor-General of India, Lord Hardinge on December 23, 1912.
