‘Govt, local bodies must cooperate for growth’

Coordination between local bodies and the government is a must for developing north Bengal, West Bengal cm Mamata Banerjee said on Monday as she started a two-day visit to the region.
On her arrival at Bagdogra airport, the chief minister told reporters that the people of Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar and other districts of north Bengal were always on her mind. Mamata, who is scheduled to hold a public meeting at Alipurduar district, is expected to spend the night at Suntalekhola in Kalimpong. On April 1, she will chair an administrative meeting at Dimdima at Madarihat-Birpara in Alipurduar district. The cm will inaugurate a number of projects and lay foundation stones of many development projects.
