Govt collects RS 1 crore fine from sites flouting dust control norms

The Delhi government on Monday, claimed to have collected more than Rs one crore as fine from various construction sites in the city. According to Environment ministry of AAP government, the department had issued as many 139 notices to 67 construction companies operating in Delhi. The department said that notices were issued after these construction companies were found violating norms of dust control laid down by the Delhi government. 

This development came after Delhi environment minister Imran Husain on Monday reviewed the progress of ongoing environmental drives in Delhi, with respect to prohibition of burning of any kind of garbage, leaves, waste, plastic, rubber, etc. During inspection drive the minister also reviewed the progress of ongoing environmental drives in the national Capital.
