Water Minister Kapil Mishra has asked the Hayana to stop the discharge of effulents from Panipat drain, which is polluting Delhi water. The minister said the Panipat drain water contains high level of ammonia, leading to shutdown of Water Treatment Plants in the Capital. “As the protestors damaged Munak Canal, we are getting water through Yamuna, but Panipat drain is discharging highly polluted effluents into the river with ammonia level of 56 ppm against permitted 0.5 ppm,” said Mishra.
