Good movie and bad movies

A good time to extend this column to something more than just television. Since till this election rigmarole is not over, television will not have anything fresh or riveting on offer. Ram-Leela hits screens on 15 November and the lead pair are all over the channels promoting it. Don’t miss their crackling chemistry.

While Ranveer took a little detour through the Bigg Boss house, the couple made their presence felt on Comedy Nights with Kapil. Ram-Leela (mind the hyphen) is expected to be Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus and one must admit - the promos look great, we love the songs and Deepika looks ravishing.

On the other hand, Satya 2 released today and it trashed. Not that we were expecting otherwise. Ram Gopal Verma seems to have lost the plot ages back. He had once made the underworld look sleek. But that was once upon a time, and that was very long ago.

Check out the 3D trailer for Sholay and the Dedh Ishqiya trailer while you are at it - Madhuri looks divine.

The one good thing on TV this week was the whole hoop-la about Sachin Tendulkar. The spelling mistakes, the big plans, the umpire’s wrong decision and as luck would have it- the abrupt end to the test with Mohammed Shami demolishing the West Indies batting line-up. Team India’s new blood clearly means serious business.

In an aiside, we were terribly disappointed though that the first episode of Supernatural Season 9 shown on AXN wasn’t actually the first episode of the series. Did you know?
