Gold crown stolen from temple

A gold crown worth about Rs 13 lakh adorning the idol of Goddess Sri Rajajajeswari has gone missing from a temple at Mouna Samiar Madam near Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu, police said today.

The crown, weighing 500 gms, was found missing after the priest unlocked the main temple and went to open the other sub-temples yesterday.
