His sharp criticism of Dikshit came in response to comments by her yesterday that her government’s development model was ‘much better’ than the one adopted by Narendra Modi, her Gujarat counterpart. She had also accused him of spreading “hatred and division” for political gain.
‘We had earlier raised 15 questions to which Congress could not respond to. Now these are 15 new questions on various issues on development and corruption,’ said Goel daring Dikshit to respond them.
‘The answer to these questions itself exposes the chief minister. We challenge her to reply to these questions and come out with the truth,’ he added. Goel’s first question is regarding financial status of Delhi, on which the claims of Delhi government and Comptroller and Auditor General of India are different.
‘The Congress government claims it has run the government maintaining fiscal discipline. So, will it explain why the CAG concluded that Delhi suffered a revenue loss of Rs 2,700 crore in the last fiscal,’ questioned Goel.
Goel also questioned the health facilities of the government in the light of high death rate. ‘Around 10,000 infants died in hospitals run by the Delhi government every year. The infant mortality in Delhi in 28 per thousand,’ said Goel.
The other questions belonged to performance of various issues of Delhi like unauthorised colonies, slums, education, water, pollution in Yamuna, road construction and maintenance, transport and commonwealth games scam.
