The city BJP president Vijay Goel on Monday demanded a White Paper on infrastructure and technical soundness of the Delhi Metro. Goel also once again claimed credit for taking the initiative to start the metro services and blamed the Sheila Dikshit government for its bad implementation.
‘The increasing number of cracks in pillars and technical snags have raised serious concerns on Delhi Metro,’ said Geol adding that the project was conceived and implemented by the BJP government and even the first metro line was inaugurated by former Prime Minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee.
‘I was minister in PMO during the inauguration of the first track of Delhi Metro,’ said the senior BJP leader.
He further added, ‘The commuters often feel harassed with metro trains halting quite often. It seems another major initiative taken by the BJP-led NDA government when it started Delhi Metro will lose its purpose if remedial steps are not taken immediately.’
