‘Goa govt accomplishes 59 pc budgetary promises’

The Goa government has so far fulfilled 59 per cent of the promises made in the state budget for FY 2014, according to ‘action taken report’ tabled in the Assembly on Wednesday by Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar.

The report mentions that 59 per cent of the budgetary promises made have been executed by the government, while 32 per cent of the projects are under execution and most of it would be completed in the current fiscal.

Parrikar said that four per cent of the budgetary promises had to be dropped as some of the developments have made them redundant.
