The two-day Global Investors Summit 2016 ended up on Sunday here at the Brillant Convention Center in the city to woo investments in the state. Apart from the ministers investors from 42 countries and 5 partners countries (UK, Japan, South Korea, UAE, and Singapore) and domestic investors were also present. While addressing Venkaiah Naidu talked at length about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of reform, perform and transform. Naidu was addressing. Even he added that the shift in policy is as much as plan for smart cities not being made in Delhi but in respective states. “World over economy is in a slump but India emerging as favourite destination,” Naidu added. According to urbanisation is irreversible.
Thus making of cities powerful is essential. “Narendra Modi government at the Centre the overhead water tank is now clean therefore all will get clean water. Earlier the overhead water tank was not clean so even changing taps could not get you clean water,” the minister added in a lighter note. At the same time MoS for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Anil Madhav Dave urged industries to spend a portion of their gross or net profit on R&D to ensure that Indian industries also get patents.
