A girl student was shot at when she confronted the robbers in Greater Noida’s Kasna village on Tuesday afternoon.
The victim, identified as Subi Verma, a student of B Tech in a private college, was walking towards her hostel with a friend when the robbers attacked her. Subi started shouting when the bike-borne robbers tried to snatch her bag which contained Rs 40,000.
As she resisted, the robbers first fired some shot in the air and then shot her in the leg and escaped from the spot. She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by her friend. Her condition is said to be stable. Meanwhile, a case has been registered. ‘We are trying to establish the identity of the accused. They’ll be arrested soon,’ said a police officer.
